Brach’s® Valentine Candies for decorating: Conversation Hearts, Cinnamon Jelly Hearts, Jube Jel Cherry Hearts, and Cinnamon Imperials

Directions

In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.

Add eggs and vanilla and mix until combined.

Add dry ingredients and mix until combined, scraping bowl as needed.

Divide dough into thirds and roll each piece between two pieces of plastic wrap to rectangle ¼” thick.

Stack cookie dough sheets on baking sheet and refrigerate until firm, at least 1 hour.

Pre-heat over to 325°F.

With heart shaped cutters, cut shapes from chilled dough and arrange 1” apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until cookies are firm to touch and lightly golden.

Cool completely then frost with vanilla frosting and decorate with Conversation Hearts, Cinnamon Jelly Hearts, Jube Jel Cherry Hearts, and Cinnamon Imperials.

Keep cookies tightly covered.

Hint: You can tint the frosting pink with a little red food coloring if you like.
