Star Brites® Peppermint Bark

Ingredients
1 cup Brach’s® Star Brites® Peppermint candies (crushed)
1 pound semisweet chocolate chips
1 pound white chocolate chips
1 tsp pure peppermint extract
Directions
Line large baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
To crush peppermints, place unwrapped mints in large plastic bag and crush by smashing with hammer or meat mallet. Set aside until needed.
Place semisweet chocolate chips in medium bowl and melt in a double boiler set over simmering water or in microwave in 45 second bursts at 50% power, stirring between bursts until smooth.
Stir in peppermint extract and pour onto prepared pan, using a spatula to spread mixture into roughly 9”x13” rectangle. Place in freezer while you prepare white chocolate mixture.
Place white chocolate chips in medium bowl and melt in a double boiler set over simmering water or in microwave in 45 second bursts at 50% power, stirring between bursts until smooth.
Stir half of crushed peppermints into melted white chocolate and spread mixture evenly on top of dark chocolate mixture.
Sprinkle remaining crushed peppermints on top of white chocolate, pressing lightly to adhere.
Return pan to freezer until just set – about 15 minutes.
Remove wax or parchment paper and break into pieces.
Store in refrigerator or at room temperature, tightly covered.
