Halloween Crispy Treats
Prep Time: 15 Minutes Cook Time: N/A Total Time: 15 Minutes Yield: 24 2"x2" squares
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
9 cups miniature marshmallows
¾ tsp kosher salt
10 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup Brach’s® Candy Corn
1 cup Brach’s® Indian Corn
¾ cup mini chocolate chips
24 Brach’s® Mellowcreme® Pumpkins
Directions
Spray 9”x13” pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
In large bowl, combine rice cereal, Candy Corn and Indian Corn and mini chocolate chips.
In saucepan over medium heat, melt butter then add marshmallows and salt; stir until smooth.
Add marshmallow mixture to cereal/candy mix and stir quickly to combine.
Pour mixture into prepared pan, pressing lightly with greased hands to compact.
While warm, press in Mellowcreme Pumpkins, spaced 1”-1 ½” apart (6 across, 4 down).
For best results, let set at least 1 hour until firm then cut into squares.
Store tightly wrapped up to 3 days.
Hints: Work quickly to get the Mellowcreme Pumpkins on top of the bars while still warm so they stick.
For a fun touch, add several drops of red and yellow food coloring to the marshmallow mixture to tint these treats a bright orange.
